On to Mars 2 is a serious treatise on the problems and solutions for humans to establish a viable colony on Mars. Written and edited by Robert M. Zubrin and Frank Crossman, it contains over 130 papers and presentations pertinent to this issue. Many are presented in the book and several others are contained on a CD included with the book.
I am proud to say that my essay on why we should colonize Mars and, by default, the moon, winner of first prize in the Pioneer Section in a contest sponsored by The Mars Society, is part of this book. That I am included in this publication from an august group of scientists, engineers and knowledgable laymen is both a delight and an humbling experience.
